The RN to BSN option requires 186 quarter hours for completion. This includes prerequisite courses, general education curriculum courses, and the required nursing core classes. Much of the course work can be earned through previous coursework taken at accredited institutions of higher education, and/or associate or diploma nursing programs. However, a minimum of 45 credit hours must be completed at The Ohio State University in order for degree conferment.
If you are admitted, a mandatory orientation will be held in May of each year prior to the quarter of admission. The option admits students each summer utilizing a cohort design. This enables students to have a unique and supportive experience with other class members while enrolled in the nursing portion of the degree program. Once students are admitted, it is expected they will complete the nursing portion of their curriculum within one year. Other courses needed for graduation may be taken prior to entry or after completion of the nursing core.
