Tuition and fees in the College of Nursing are based on specific programs, campus of enrollment and the number of registered credit hours.

General information
Program specific information below is for full-time enrollment only. For a complete listing of university tuition and fees by credit hour, see explanation of university fees and fee tables.

The tuition and fees structure is different for in-state vs. out-of-state students. For information about gaining in-state residency, please visit the residency guidelines web page for details.

Pre-Nursing tuition and fees
Pre-Nursing students use the general undergraduate fees tables. For fees by credit hour (part-time enrollment) or by regional campus, please use the fees tables link above for more information.

Undergraduate tuition and fees
Undergraduate nursing students should refer to the undergraduate nursing NUR fee table.

Graduate tuition and fees

All graduate nursing students should refer to the graduate Masters & PhD student fee table.

Beginning winter quarter 2010: Students admitted to the graduate nursing program will be required to pay a tuition deposit of $250 with the submission of their acceptance paperwork. This tuition deposit is non-refundable and will be applied to the student's tuition their first quarter of enrollment. 

Books, supplies and other expenses
The cost of books, computer/computer software/internet access varies by program and course enrollment and some courses may require additional course specific lab and clinical fees. Travel costs for clinical sites vary by site and program as well; some sites are outside of Central Ohio. Additional estimated expenses for students are included below by program.

All students (except Pre-Nursing):
Clinical compliance expenses (for newly enrolled students): $400 (estimate)
Nursing insurance fee (Midwifery students only):  $500/year (estimate)
Nursing technology fee: $60/quarter
Nursing clinical course fee1: $310/quarter
Campus Parking permit: Varies

BSN and Graduate Entry students:
Equipment: $130-210 dependent on grade of stethoscope purchased
Course supplement fee/NCLEX "Readiness Test" fee: TBD
PDA: $270
Scrubs: $100/two sets

Traditional Master's and Graduate Entry students:
Advanced diagnostic tools (for all MS students, purchased prior to the student's advanced practice clinical): $675
White lab jacket (for all MS students, including Grad Entry): $35/one jacket


1 Nursing clinical fee is assessed for any quarter in which the student is enrolled in any of the following: Nursing 301.01, 301.02, 301.03, 402, 403, 404, 493, 501, 503, H503, 508D, 509D, 510D, 511, 611, 622, 623, 631, 633.02, 634, 715, 729, 733, 807, 808, 809, 810, 833, 859 or 859D, 940.
